2026 Maryland Excellence In Paving Awards

The Maryland Asphalt Association is now accepting nominations for the Maryland Excellence in Paving Awards, recognizing top-tier paving work across the state. Eligible projects must have been completed between October 12, 2025, and October 12, 2026.

Presented jointly by MAA and Maryland SHA, the awards are judged on ride quality, joint construction, texture, and tie-ins – the hallmarks of a well-executed paving job. It’s a great chance to recognize a team’s hard work and showcase best practices in Maryland asphalt paving. Last year, MAA and SHA recognized 14 paving jobs for outstanding workmanship.

Winners will receive a plaque and be recognized in front of peers at the 63rd Annual Paving Conference on March 10, 2027 (winners must register for the conference at the MAA member rate). Winning projects will also be featured on the MAA website and across MAA social media in the following weeks.
