The Events Committee helps to plan and organize various MAA social events, including the Hot Mixer, Paving Conference, Scholarship Blast, and more.

Leadership
The Leadership Committee is comprised of executive/owner Producer member representatives who meet with MDOT SHA leadership three to four times per year to discuss asphalt industry issues and maintain a strong partnership with the State.

Advocacy
The Advocacy Committee stays apprised of pertinent legislative activities and bills requiring attention during the Maryland legislative session, as well as general initiatives in the interest of the promoting the asphalt industry. It also monitors PAC contributions and donations.

Paving Conference
The Paving Conference Committee is comprised of MAA members and MDOT SHA leaders that review annual Paving Conference metrics as well as plan and solicit presenters for the upcoming Paving Conference. It meets in May, July, September and, January.

Maryland Women of Asphalt
The Maryland Women of Asphalt is comprised of MAA members and national industry representatives. It supports women in all aspects of the asphalt industry through mentoring, education, and advocacy, and by encouraging women to seek careers in the asphalt industry.
