2026 Md Wofa Lunch And Learn Mental Health

Construction and paving professionals face some of the highest rates of stress, anxiety, and depression of any industry. Nearly 64% of U.S. construction workers report experiencing anxiety or depression in the past year. As the days get shorter, many people also struggle with seasonal depression, which often begins in late fall or winter and eases in spring.

Join the Maryland Women of Asphalt and NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore on Tuesday, October 27, from 12-1 p.m.for a free, one-hour lunch and learn featuring NAMI’s In Our Own Voice program. This peer-led community education presentation is designed to change attitudes, challenge stereotypes, and show the reality of living and recovering well with mental health conditions. Hear real stories, learn how to start the conversation with coworkers, and find out where to turn for support.
