On October 4, 2025, nearly 200 MAA members and guests cracked open crabs and kicked back at Hot Mixer 2025, held bayside at Fisherman’s Crab Deck in Kent Narrows. This annual members-only tradition marks the close of paving season with unbeatable company, coastal views, and a well-earned night off.
Guests started the evening at the “Asphalt Alehouse,” enjoying premium drinks and appetizers, including freshly shucked oysters and oyster shooters, courtesy of the Maryland Women of Asphalt. As the sun dipped over Wells Creek, laughter, conversation, and the steady rhythm of crab mallets filled the air.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Maryland Women of Asphalt also sold special-edition long-sleeved shirts, which nearly sold out – another reminder of the generosity and spirit that define our industry. $5 for each t-shirt sold will go towards the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
